Nina Kruser was born in 1982 in an artists’ family in the former USSR. The young Russian artist assimilates atmospheres and emotions in her colourful paintings. She sees painting as a dialogue with the observer. It is her intention to convey pleasure and to achieve a positive feeling of being alive. Her pictures are beaming with authentic cheerfulness by the use of light and pastel colours, harmonic compositions and by taking up existing visual habits. As well the motives as also the light painting style are inspired by the French of the 19th century, i.e. van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezanne or Monet, but Nina Kruser also mentions contemporary Russian artists as source of inspiration. Nina has been awarded with a diploma as “year’s best with distinction” from the renowned Maljutin High school for Art in Iwanowo, Russia, in 2003. She lives and works since 2005 in Germany. Nina Kruser has been exhibited for the first time in England with her smaller work at the Affordable Art Fair October 2008. |
